Bird Nests Galore

This booth featured birds nests in every imaginable container. It was actually very cool looking. She used lots of wire...which is my favorite.

Amazing Mannequin

Geri saw this mannequin as it was being brought in the gate by a Montana vendor as we were setting up. She saw it right away and bought it on the spot. I did not see it until this morning at the beginning of the show. It is wonderfully old and oozes charm. I was trying to talk her out of it(buy it off of her)...but she did not go for it!

Prairie Flyer

This has to be my favorite band...Prairie Flyer...the lead singer, Jim, (center) has the most amazing voice. It is so perfectly blue grass. To me he sounds like he is singing in some high mountain hallow in Kentucky. Reminds me of the singing I heard as a kid...of course most of that was gospel. I have six CD's of theirs and listen to them often in my truck.
They did some strolling around and played for people. I thought this was nice, as we were pretty much stuck in our booth all day. Our booth is to the right in this photo.

Some of my Handmades

I whipped these up one day this last week. Many people 'ohhd' and 'ahhd' head over them, but I think I only sold two or three. No surprise, people were at the antique show to buy "antiques." I think they will sell as Christmas gifts this fall. I had a price of $5.00 on them. They are made from thin pieces of wood.

Two Vendors ready to sell

Here is Robin and I ready to sell our goods at the Vintage Barn Antique Sale today. Robin had a variety of goods and I had mostly old linens. We shared a booth space...thus I did not take as much stuff to sell. Of course, I made less money than I did at the last sale too, but that was okay. I did not have much left to bring home...so this is good!

Book Signing

Here MaryJane signs my Outpost book at her grand opening of the new store. She will sell lots of vintage goods, organic sheets, towels, and chocolates. Fun store!

Farm Girls Gather

A few of us locals gathered to have some tea in the Coeur d' Alene Resort Lounge (I guess it is) before heading on over to see the new MaryJane Farmgirl Store, which is in the CdA Resort Mall. We had a fun visit albeit somewhat brief.

Lacey Pillows

Nice grouping of lacey egded pillows fill this shelf in MaryJanes Shop.

My Crown

The Apron Queen Crown is above the heads of shoppers, with other hats and accessories on a wood shelf that went all around the store.

Farmgirl Chat

Here is a shot of MaryJane with her daughter, Meg, and her right hand girl, Carol (with bow in her hair). They must be chatting about how the grand opening is going.

Bedding

The use of galvanized wash tubs, laundry baskets, milk cans, and more made the store feel very famry, indeed. It gave the feel of being in a farm house, especially with the wood floors.

Table Cloths & Lunch Pails

The patterns on these table cloths were bright and cheery and looked like they came from grandmas cupboard. The lunch pails/boxes would hold a lunch for two or one farmgirl's lunch with her embroidery project thrown in.

Apron Center

This cupboard held a variety of handmade aprons. The colors used were truly vintage like. The styles were delectable.

Kitchen Duty

I loved this large print that is above the soap area in MaryJanes Store.

Shopping friends

This is my friend, Karen, and her mother, Lynn shopping at MaryJanes new store. I will post more another day. I am tired from moving stuff around today...will also post pics of this later.

Flour sacks and more

This wood rack held the cutest fabric envelopes of flour sacks and tea towels. The colors were bright and crisp. Very nice.

Potholder envelopes

These fabric envelopes held vintage looking crocheted potholders...they looking amazingly as if they had come from grandma's kitchen 40 years ago.

Buggy-pillow holder

This sweet little baby buggy worked great as a pillow holder...love them wood floors!

Gated headboard

An old metal gate fits perfectly on a twin sized bed as a headboard. This bed sat in one of the windows in the store.

Many different designs in spoon art hangin' out here. I believe these were a F.A.R.M. project

Candles and sewing

Isn't this little sewing machine a great one? Behind it sits a table loaded with the bestest smellin' candles I have ever smelt! The apple was amazingly real.

MJ, Me, & Meg

MaryJane, on left, was wearing an antique wedding dress...it was very pretty. I am next and I don't usually have such a cleavage showing...this shirt does this on me, so I am going to add a piece of lace across there! Then there was Megan, with her belly sticking out...what a cute pregnant farmgirl!

Farmgirl Journals

The display case held the farmgirl journals that went around the country a while back.
