This is my great grandmother, Susanna Tennessee Reeves, from Arkansas. She died before I was born, so I was not privileged enough to meet her.
I love this photo of her feedin' her chickens. I do dream of the day when I can have a place to have my own brood...so I can be just like her.
I pray for my little homestead on the outskirts of town, everyday. Our current home is inside of the city limits and "chickens" are not allowed. So if I can get a place out of town a bit, then I can have my own passel of "girls."

Hope your dreams come true and you can have chickens some day, I have chickens myself and just love them. Of course most people don't appreciate them like me, they think I'm crazy ....... doesn't bother me though, I love country living, chickens and all! haha ...
