Latest find
This chair came into the thrift shop a few days ago and I grabbed it up. It has that worn look that I love so much.
Tatter Sacks
Whilst cleaning out under the porch/deck I came upon a bag of tatter sacks that I forgot I had. I got them some years ago from a local farmer. The idea was to use them for the grand kids to have potato sack races...up to this point this has not happened. But my hope is that they will be used for this someday.
I did notice a bit of a musty smell when I discovered the sacks, so took out my galvanized tub and filled it with water and began washing them up. Here they are hanging on the line drying out-now they will be ready when the time comes to have those tatter sack races.

Let the Show Begin!
The Vintage Barn Antique Show was this last Saturday...so the next few posts are all about it. Hope you enjoy!
This great looking thing is a pig feeder! Iffin' I had a few hundred extra bucks I coulda' brought it home and put it in my front yard...don't think I wouldn't either!
Never in all my days...
have I been to a show that opened in prayer! I was so excited about this feature. It was amazing and I am so proud of these gals for having the boldness to do this...we need more of this in our world today, right? Hallelujah sister!
Corner of my booth
The wind kinda disheveled things a bit before I shot this...but you can get the idea. I made up 16 new crowns for this event. I fianlly had a die made to help me cut them out easier...it is a real time saver, not to mention saving my sanity, what there is left of that!
The Crowns will be featured a couple of places soon, so watch for future post about them and how to get one for you and yours.
Charm Lady
She had lots of 'em and other stuff too. Love the little cabin she rents on the farm for the show...it even has a floor!
Mignon's Cottage
Lots of good pink stuff here. I had some of my handmades in a shop she had for a time in Post Falls.
Panhandle Polecats
Oh boy, did I love these guys and their music. I love blue grass and their's was the bestest. They are a Christian band, too! Makes 'em even better in my book. I will be getting their CD.
Mennonite Bakers
These ladies know how to do it right...baking is their claim to fame for good reason. I scored a round platter of maple drizzled twists in exchange for an apron in my booth. Nice ladies, too! So sweet and lady-like (as my momma used to say).
The bleachers
Yep, this is the bleachers for watching the bands play...only in the country! (This was pre-opening-as they filled up fast once the gate was opened and the band began to play some of the best blue grass around.
Good stuff
This booth had lots of the more primitive goods. I did not get his name, but his apron says, "Garden Primtives."
