Old stove looking for a home

This old stove is available to me for free, if I want it. I do want it, but what will it take to get it fixed up to go into my house?
It is missing the legs and a door. It is rusted pretty badly, but I think I can live with the rust. If I were going to actually ever use it, well then it does need a door and the legs. I do already have two old stoves, one in the garden shed and one in the house. Neither one is set up to use. Not sure what I love about these things, other than they remind me of earlier times when mom and grandma spent lots of time in the kitchen baking bread. Plus the fact that I just love old stuff.
Well, I will do some searching to see if I can find a door for it. I'll let you all know if I do.
Thanks for stopping by! I know I have not posted much in the last couple of weeks, other things taking my time.

wow..it would take alot of elbow grease to remove all the rust.
maybe you could set it up on a porch and use it as display for potted plants and so forth..like a rustic looking buffet area if you dine on the porch..it can be used for seasonal floral display and then if it is cleaned up enough..you could use it to hold food for parties on the porch.
just an idea.
(by the way..having a wee drawing on my blog if you care to join in)

We've already got a turquoise wood stove rusting away in our barn... Someday I'm hoping to restore it.

I stopped by to let you know about a contest on my blog http://brightmeadowfarms.blogspot.com/2007/09/contest-apple-pie-border.html

Totally awesome stove!! I'd be hauling that baby home and giving it a new "life" with a sanding and then seal it to leave the vintage look. Use it as a focal point and don't worry if it ever works again :o)

Have a great day!
