Please come on in, sit down and take a look at a slice of my life...
My interest in blogging comes from a hole left in my life...that being a lack of information that was left behind from my ancestors. You see, I figure maybe someday my descendants may want to know about my life in the 21st century, as I want to know about my ancestors. So I was inspired to begin this blog. Now over the years I have done some journaling...albeit pretty random. So, since I spend a fair amount of time on this laptop I might as well document my life while I am at it. Oh do I wish my grandmother's and grandfather's had taken the time to write about their lives. What a treasure that would be! So I dedicate this blog to my ancestors and my descendents. Enjoy!
Married to a great guy, mother of four grown children, grandmother of six. I volunteer in my church's thrift shop two days a week, enjoy baking, collecting vintage goods and junkin', decorating my home, selling vintage styled goods that I create.
My dream to have an old-fashioned Mercantile, where I can display all the treasures I have amassed over the years and open it up to ladies gatherings. Those gatherings would include teas, crafting days, quiltings, bible studies, and offering an opportunity for the ladies to sell their goods there. I feel this would fill a need that goes unmet in today's world. We gals need to be able to share our lives, pray with each other as well as encourage each other. So I am on the hunt for just the right facility to accommodate my dream. A small farm with a not so small farm house on about 10 acres is what I am searching for. I would also like to have a few small cabins in a retreat type setting to rent out for vacationers. This would keep Tim busy and give us an income. Call me crazy, but it is my dream. Whether it will ever be fulfilled or not is yet to seen, but I will not give up on my dream until the day my life ends.
